She smacks him with a whip and he threatens her with a lizard. But it might not sit well with the high monks.Įx-Wife Princess (presenting herself as the Princess’s maidservant) needs a guide and isn’t impressed with the fact that its our hero who will apparently be It. There’s also quite a lot of politicking going on at the monastery, too, but the Prince seems to be dedicated to A Purpose. But we have a hero (who looks like he’s about fourteen), and his ardent fangirl (who looks about ten.) There’s something going on with an ancient prophecy about, ding ding ding, the Eternal Night a Chinese princess and her young son who escapes being burned with her dead Mongol husband a prince who is arguing with some old guys at a monastery. This one launches straight into the plot, rather than spending too much time setting up the characters. (His name is “Blue Lake Woodcutter”?)Īnd then it gets confusing. Very promising start, with an ambush in which our hero has a pretty heroic fight scene that’s even well-choreographed.
